KIDS HOTTIE RECIPE

FUELLING BRAIN FUNCTION AND REGULATING ENERGY LEVELS


If you are struggling to get your kids ready in the morning, it may just be the food they are eating, giving them a huge spike of energy. Over loading with carbs in the morning, could really be setting them up for an energy crash during the day when they need to be at their best.

 

WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS?

Just like mums Bulletproof Coffee, this Kids version is full of good fats and will not only provide them an even flow of energy throughout the day, it will really set them up to make great food choices during the day. As it will also switch off the sugar cravings and allow them to feel fuller for longer.

The Ghee, or butter if tolerated, is rich in critical nutrients like vitamin A, D, E and K2 as well as the short chain fatty acid, butyrate, which nourishes, reduces inflammation and heals your gut lining. The MCT is incredibly effective in curbing your hunger, kick your brain into a higher gear.

The gelatin provides you with amino acids that supports and heals your gut lining, whilst providing you with the nutrients to enhance the health and strength of your hair, skin, nails and joints.

 

 

MY KIDS 3 FAVOURITES

CHOCOLATE HOTTIE

1 or 2 Cacao Melts
1-2 Tbs of Grass Fed Butter or Ghee (or make your own - Ghee Recipe)
1 Tbs of MCT or Coconut Oil (please start small and work your way up)
1 Tbs of Organic Gelatin, bloomed in 1/4 of Filtered Water (This gives a creamier drink)
1 cup of Hot Filtered Water

TEA HOTTIE

1 Cup of your favourite tea (Our favourites are Chai, Dandi Chai, Roasted Dandelion, Roobios)
1-2 Tbs of Grass Fed Butter or Ghee (or make your own - Ghee Recipe)
1 Tbs of MCT or Coconut Oil (please start small and work your way up)
1 Tbs of Organic Gelatin, bloomed in 1/4 of Filtered Water (This gives a creamier drink)

TURMERIC HOTTIE

1 Teaspoon of Turmeric
1 Teaspoon of Cinnamon
1-2 Tbs of Grass Fed Butter or Ghee
1 Tbs of MCT or Coconut Oil (please start small and work your way up)
1 Tbs of Organic Gelatin, bloomed in 1/4 of Filtered Water (This gives a creamier drink)
1 cup of Hot Filtered Water

(kids love to add a spoon full nut butter to theirs too)
 

 

WHAT TO DO

To ‘BLOOM’ the Gelatine, I just spoon it straight into the blender first add around 1/4 cup water to cover and what around 5 mins for it to fully absorb - ‘Bloomed’

Then place all ingredients in a blender or Thermomix.

Blend until creamy and frothy.
